Guardian News & Media is pleased to offer a range of entry level opportunities for those at the start of their careers.

Positive Action Scheme

We believe our workforce should better represent the diversity of our society. Each summer, we offer two-week paid work experience placements for those from underrepresented groups who are aiming to start a career in journalism.

Commercial internship

Each summer, we offer paid internship placements across a range of commercial departments. This opportunity is specifically aimed at those from underrepresented backgrounds who want to start a career in media – whether in marketing, communications, advertising or in other areas.

Scott Trust Bursary

The Guardian Foundation is this year offering six bursaries for aspiring journalists to study for a master’s in journalism. The primary aim of these bursary awards is to assist students who face financial difficulty in attaining the qualifications needed to pursue a career in journalism, and who come from backgrounds that are underrepresented in the media.

Software Engineering Fellowship

The Software Engineering Fellowship is an opportunity for developers who are at the beginning of their careers to join our Product and Engineering department.
